Children

The Children's Ministries of United Evangelical Free Church exist to assist parents in the discipling of children in "the fear and admonition of the Lord." Our committed volunteers receive on-going training to equip them to effectively serve the youngest people in our congregation. Our programs for children are places where girls and boys can form lasting friendships, learn enduring truths, and most importantly, develop a real, personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Nursery. Child care for infants and toddlers is available throughout the Sunday morning program and at most special events. (Please inquire with the church office if nursery care is not specified in the announcement of a particular event.) We believe that competent and attentive nursery care is an important ministry, both because it allows parents to participate in other ministries without worry and because it is the beginning of the child's relationship with his/her church.

God's Kids (Sunday, 9 a.m. - Noon) Age-graded learning and activity times are available for children through grade 6 throughout the entire three-hour ministry block each Sunday morning. Bible memory and lessons that help children apply the Bible to real life are important components of our children's education program. The 3-hour program for children is integrated, but segmented, to provide maximum benefit for children whether their families come for the entire program or only one service. We hope that most regular attenders will come to the early service and involve their children in the entire program.

God's Kids Activity Time. As part of the God's Kids Ministry, a program of games and mission stories designed especially for elementary-aged children is available during the first part of the second service. (Parents who attend the second service also have the option to have their children join them for family worship during this time.)

Promiseland (6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Sundays during the school year) is a comprehensive program for children through grade 4, including age-appropriate crafts and activities, games, singing, and Bible-based instruction.

Club 56 (7 pm- 8:30pm Wednesdays) is a special program designed especially for our fifth and sixth graders, who have moved beyond programs designed for primary-aged children and are fast approaching the challenges and opportunities of junior high.

Summer Camp. While our church does not sponsor a specific camping program, we recognize the value of a Christian camping experience in the lives of young people, and we seek to assist families who want to sent their children or teenagers to summer camp. Camping options available to the families of our church include Mountain Lakes Bible Camp, an agency of BBC Ministries in Klamath Falls, and Black Lake Bible Camp, our denomination's camp in Tumwater, Washington.

Harvest Party. Our church partners with other churches in the Klamath Basin to provide a safe and fun alternative to traditional Halloween activities. This year, the Harvest Party will be held at the Sports Complex on Foothills Blvd.
